Dr. Bernice Teplitsky is a general dentist dedicated to advancing a more conservative and biologically aligned approach to oral health: one that recognizes the connection between dentistry and whole-body wellness. With more than 25 years in dentistry and a deep commitment to continued learning, she brings an integrative, whole-body perspective to patient care.
Her journey into dentistry began at the age of sixteen, when she took a job as a dental assistant in a local practice in Chicago's North Shore suburbs. Trained chairside and in front-office operations, she quickly became fascinated by the unique nature of dental care, particularly the way one dentist could care for multiple generations of the same family. Seeing patients arrive in pain and leave relieved and restored made it clear that dentistry was her calling, and that one dentist can make a big difference in the health and lives of the people they care for.
Dr. Teplitsky completed both her undergraduate and dental education at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Seeking advanced clinical experience, she pursued a hospital-based residency program in Chicago, where she treated complex surgical cases and worked closely with interdisciplinary medical teams in emergency and hospital settings.
During this time, she began questioning why dentistry often relied on aggressive treatment approaches. Her search for more conservative, health-supportive solutions led her to early courses in integrative and biological dentistry. Since then, she has completed nearly 1,500 hours of continuing education focused on oral-systemic health, biocompatible materials, biomimetic dentistry, and modern dental technology and techniques.
Outside the practice, Dr. Teplitsky enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She loves learning new things, especially about health, longevity, and the many ways to help the body thrive, and she treasures the everyday moments of life. Dr. Teplitsky looks forward to partnering with patients in supporting healthier smiles and long-term wellness.
